East Sussex: Springles Farm Eggs

I live in the South West of England and milk vending machines are becoming quite a familiar sight.  However,  egg vending machines are not and so you can imagine my excitement at the opportunity to visit Springles Eggs during my visit to East Sussex.  Their vending machine is found just next to the field in which the chickens are free to roam.

And talk about value for money – a tray of freshly collected free-range eggs  (30 to be precise) bought for just over what a dozen would cost at a supermarket.

But it’s not just the buying experience or the value for money, but it’s also seeing exactly where and how the chickens live – a completely free-range life in fresh, lusciously green fields – that makes this a ‘real food’ experience.
