Boatyard Bakery

Emma started her own business in 2004 when she returned to Exeter from Bristol to focus on her passion for real bread. Over the years the business grew but it wasn’t until 2017 when the bakery moved to its current premises by Exeter’s ship canal that the Boatyard Bakery began.

2020 was a huge turning point for the business as they took part in local organic box schemes and people started supporting small businesses more. They now offer a much larger range of products than before. It includes sourdough bread, scones, brioche, pastries and more!

They pride themselves on making real bread using traditional methods and all loaves are scaled and shaped by hand. To buy their products you can either visit the bakery, order online for collection or home delivery.
