West Country Water Buffalo
West Country Water Buffalo farm has a herd of 250 water buffalo. Their range includes fillets, sirloin, and steaks as well as their Buffalicious milk, award winning ice cream and mozzarella. You can visit the farm shop to buy their products or visit one of their stockists (listed on their website here) which includes The Fine Cheese Company.
They are proud to be a genuine family farm that produces ethical, sustainable food in harmony with nature. Their herd of water buffalo are only reared on their farm and are free to range throughout the year until it is too cold and wet when they brought indoors.
Water buffalo are slow reared and produce low volumes of milk of high nutritional value as they are an old breed of bovine animal, which have not been interbred or altered for thousands of years. West Country Water Buffalo’s herd are slow and grass fed creating a very lean ad tender beef that is naturally full of flavour.
