J H Mann was originally based in Hillsborough and was started by the Mann Family in 1921. In 2005 the business was taken over by Christian Szurko who moved the shop to Sharrow Vale Road in 2008 and has also helped the business to grow.
They now have two fishmongers (Sharrow Vale Road and Bakewell) and a fresh fish and seafood restaurant called Native. When taking on the business Christian knew of the exceptional quality of fish and seafood they sold and vowed to continue the same level of quality.
Their shop in Bakewell is their newest shop which opened in August 2021!
