Westcombe Dairy based near Shepton Mallet in Somerset makes true unpasteurised Somerset cheese including their traditional clothbound Westcombe Cheddar, Duckett’s Aged Caerphilly and Ricotta, all using raw milk from their cows.

Westcombe Dairy Charcuterie

Westcombe Dairy also produces unique, high quality, artisan charcuterie by combining their veal bull calves with pork from Gothelney Farm (a small family farm based in Somerset with a strong belief in sustainable and regenerative farming methods) to create unique twists on classic favourites such as saucisson, salami and pancetta.

Regenerative Farming at Westcombe Dairy

At Westcombe Dairy the health and wellbeing of their animals and land is at the forefront of everything they do. They are passionate about farming holistically, paying particular attention to the health of their soils, the diversity of their pastures and the wellbeing of the herds. By keeping their animals and land happy and healthy they can maximise on the natural qualities of the fresh raw milk used in the cheeses.

Westcombe Dairy’s products are all available to buy from their dairy shop, online shop or from certain stockist and local farmers markets.

Their dairy shop is located just between Bruton and Shepton Mallet. Along with their own products they stock homebaked bread and crackers made using stoneground grains from Landrace Milling, pickles and ferments from Cult Jar (based at Worminster Farm, down the road from Westcombe), cider from Wilding Cider (based in Chew Magna), ice-cream from Brickell’s Ice cream, Cider Brandy from the Somerset Cider Brandy Company and beer from The Kernel Brewery and Woodshedding Brewery.
